The hair extension companies that we researched were selected based
on one or more of the following criteria:
- Offer licensing and training of stylists
- Have Internet presence
- High sales volumes
- Popularity in search engine queries and hair
extension forums
- Have distinct method for attaching hair
extensions
- Have been in extension industry for over 10
years.
There are many different companies that sell hair extension kits to
salon professionals at trade shows. Some of them do not
require any sort of training, and only offer a video tape for
instructions on how to attach and remove the hair extensions.
Not every stylist has the time or money to attend special training
for hair extensions and this does not necessarily indicate that they
will not do a good job. There are some very talented and experienced
hair extension stylists that have never attended any sort of formal
training for hair extensions.
Make sure you inquire about the stylist’s training and experience
and how many hair extension clients they have had. The Chapter on
the consultation will give you
even more areas to cover when first considering a hair extension
stylist.
Also, you should be aware that there are many salons and/or stylists
that have been trained and certified by one of the companies listed
here. Yet some will slightly alter
or perfect the method and claim the method as their own.

different methods:
